मौत के छह चरण (6 Stages of Death)

1. पहला चरण: यौम-उल-मौत (मृत्यु का दिन)

यह वह दिन होता है जब किसी इंसान की ज़िन्दगी खत्म होनी होती है। अल्लाह उस दिन फरिश्तों को हुक्म देता है कि ज़मीन पर जाओ और उस इंसान की रूह को निकाल लो।

इंसान को इस दिन का कोई इल्म नहीं होता।

नेक बंदा: दिल में सुकून और खुशी महसूस करता है।

गुनाहगार: दिल और सीने में बेचैनी और डर महसूस करता है।

शैतान और जिन्नात फरिश्तों को आते हुए देखते हैं, मगर इंसान नहीं देख सकता।

क़ुरआन की आयत:

“और उस दिन से डरो जिस दिन तुम अल्लाह की तरफ लौटाए जाओगे।” (सूरत अल-बक़रा: 281)

2. दूसरा चरण: रूह का धीरे-धीरे निकलना

रूह शरीर के पैरों के तलवों से निकलना शुरू करती है।

फिर टांगों, घुटनों, पेट, सीने से होकर गले की तरफ बढ़ती है।

इस दौरान इंसान:

थकावट महसूस करता है।

चक्कर आने लगते हैं।

खड़ा नहीं हो सकता, मगर समझ नहीं पाता कि रूह निकल रही है।

3. तीसरा चरण: तरक़ी (गले तक रूह आना)

क़ुरआन (सूरत अल-क़ियामा: 26-29):

 “हरगिज़ नहीं! जब रूह गले तक पहुंच जाएगी, और कहा जाएगा: कौन झाड़-फूंक करेगा? और उसे यकीन हो जाएगा कि जुदाई का वक़्त है, और पिंडली पिंडली से लिपट जाएगी।”

“ترقی”:  गले की हड्डिया 2 जो जाती हैं कंधो तक ।

“من راق”: कौन है जो अब इसे बचा सकता है?

लोग डॉक्टर, दुआ, झाड़-फूंक की बात करते हैं लेकिन उस वक़्त कुछ असर नहीं होता।

पिंडली से पिंडली जुड़ना: नीचे का शरीर मर चुका होता है, ऊपर का मरने की तरफ बढ़ रहा होता है।

4. चौथा चरण: हुलक़ूम (गला)

अब इंसान मौत को सामने से देखता है।

आख़िरत के पर्दे हट जाते हैं।

इंसान फ़रिश्तों को देख सकता है, मगर बाकी लोग नहीं।

क़ुरआन (सूरत क़ाफ़: 22):

“हमने आज तेरी आंखों से पर्दा हटा दिया, अब तेरी नज़र तेज़ हो गई है।”

क़ुरआन (वाक़िया: 83-85):

“फिर क्यों नहीं जब रूह गले तक पहुंच जाए, और तुम देख रहे हो, और हम तुमसे ज़्यादा क़रीब हैं, लेकिन तुम नहीं देख सकते।”

शैतान की आख़िरी कोशिश: इस वक्त इंसान के ईमान को छीनने की कोशिश होती है।

दुआ:

“ऐ मेरे रब! मैं शैतानों की फुसलाहटों से तेरी पनाह चाहता हूँ।” (सूरत अल-मु’मिनून: 97-98)

4. चौथा चरण: हुलक़ूम (गला)

अब इंसान मौत को सामने से देखता है।

आख़िरत के पर्दे हट जाते हैं।

इंसान फ़रिश्तों को देख सकता है, मगर बाकी लोग नहीं।

क़ुरआन (सूरत क़ाफ़: 22):

“हमने आज तेरी आंखों से पर्दा हटा दिया, अब तेरी नज़र तेज़ हो गई है।”

क़ुरआन (वाक़िया: 83-85):

“फिर क्यों नहीं जब रूह गले तक पहुंच जाए, और तुम देख रहे हो, और हम तुमसे ज़्यादा क़रीब हैं, लेकिन तुम नहीं देख सकते।”

दुआ:

6. छठा और आखिरी चरण: रूह का पूरी तरह निकल जाना

अब इंसान की रूह पूरी तरह से जिस्म से निकल चुकी होती है।

अगर गुनाहगार है:

कहता है: “ऐ मेरे रब, मुझे वापस भेज दे ताकि मैं अच्छे काम कर सकूं।”

लेकिन अल्लाह कहता है:

“हरगिज़ नहीं! यह एक बात है जो वह कह रहा है।” (सूरत अल-मु’मिनून: 99-100)

क़ुरआन (क़ाफ़: 19):

“और मौत की बेहोशी हक़ लेकर आएगी, यही है जिससे तुम भागते थे।”

सबसे अहम बात:

मुसलमान को जन्नत की खुशखबरी दी जाती है।

गुनाहगार को जहन्नम की वईद मिलती है।

अंतिम नसीहत:

 किसी ने एक आलिम से पूछा:

"लोग मौत से क्यों डरते हैं?"

उन्होंने जवाब दिया:

"क्योंकि तुमने दुनिया को आबाद किया और आख़िरत को बर्बाद कर दिया!"

दुआ:

 "ऐ अल्लाह! हमारा खात्मा ईमान पर फ़रमा, और हम सबको जन्नतुल फ़िरदौस में जगह अता फ़रमा। आमीन या रब्बल आलमीन!"

An Overview of the Six Stages of Death in Islam – From Beginning to End

1. First Stage: The Day of Death (Yawm-ul-Maut)

This is the appointed day when a person’s soul is destined to be taken. Allah commands the angels to descend and extract the soul of the individual.

The person himself has no knowledge of this time.

For a righteous believer: The heart feels peace and calmness.

For a sinner: There is restlessness and fear in the chest.

Jinn and Shayateen see the angels descending, but humans do not.

Qur’an Reference:

"Be mindful of the Day when you will be brought back to Allah." (Surah Al-Baqarah: 281)

2. Second Stage: The Soul Starts to Exit

The soul begins to depart from the soles of the feet.

It moves up through the legs, knees, stomach, chest, and finally reaches the throat.

During this process:

The person feels weakness and dizziness.

Cannot stand anymore but is unaware that the soul is leaving.

3. Third Stage: Taraqqi (Reaching the Throat)

Qur’an (Surah Al-Qiyamah: 26–29):

“Nay! When the soul reaches the collarbone, and it is said, ‘Who can cure him?’ And he knows it is the time of departure. And the leg is wound around the leg...”

“Taraqqi”: Refers to the collarbone or upper part of the throat.

People nearby start saying: "Get a doctor, do ruqya (spiritual cure)!" But now, nothing works.

“Leg wrapped around leg”: Lower body is already dead, upper body is about to die.

4. Fourth Stage: The Soul Reaches the Throat (Hulqoom)

Now the dying person sees death in front of him.

The veil of the Hereafter is lifted.

The person sees angels, but others around cannot.

Qur’an (Surah Qaf: 22):

"Today, We have lifted your veil — now your vision is clear and sharp."

Qur’an (Surah Al-Waqi’ah: 83–85):

When the soul reaches the throat and you watch helplessly, why do you not see that We are closer to him than you?"

Shaytan’s final attack happens here. He tries his best to mislead the person’s Imaan (faith).

Dua for protection:

“My Lord! I seek refuge in You from the whisperings of the devils.” (Surah Al-Mu’minun: 97–98)

Stage Five: The Angel of Death (Malakul Maut) Appears

The Angel of Death finally arrives.

For a righteous believer:

The soul is removed gently and easily.

As smoothly as water dripping from a vessel, the soul begins to depart.

Qur’an (Surah Al-Fajr: 27–30):

“O tranquil soul! Return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing. “Join My devoted servants and step into My Paradise.”

For a sinner:

The soul is snatched and dragged out harshly.

Angels strike the face and back.

Qur’an (Surah Muhammad: 27):

“As their souls are taken, the angels strike their faces and backs.”

Stage Six: The Complete Departure of the Soul

Now the soul has completely left the body.

If the person was sinful, he begs to return to the world:

“O my Lord, allow me to return so I can do righteous deeds!”

But Allah replies:

“No! “These are merely words he speaks.” (Surah Al-Mu’minun: 99–100)

Qur’an (Surah Qaf: 19):

“And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; this is what you were trying to avoid.”

Final Reality:

A righteous believer is given glad tidings of Jannah.

A disbeliever or sinner is shown the punishment of Hellfire.

Important Lesson:

 Someone asked a scholar:

“Why are people so afraid of death?”

He replied:

“You devoted yourself to building this worldly life while neglecting your Hereafter.”

Dua:

“O Allah! Grant us death with Imaan, and make our final destination Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen Ya Rabb!”
